Erdoğan Ege
One of the premier carvers of portraits and animals,
Erdoğan began his five year apprenticeship under Raşit Aktaş in
1967 at the age of thirteen. He has worked for several shops over
the years and supplied them with carved bowls, which were fitted with stems,
sanded and waxed by others. Since his retirement in 1999 from the
University Hospital in Eskişehir, he has been carving full-time in
partnership with Salim Şener. The Erdoğan Collection offers
elegant and graceful portraits.
